Barrington Stevens who is better known as Scooby Loo, was born to two Jamaican parents who emigrated from Trench Town and Spanish Town Kingston Jamaica. They were from a long line of entrepreneurs and one of the first Jamaican families to settle in New Jersey in search of new opportunities. Though he was born in the states his family made sure that his Jamaican culture was deeply rooted within him as an artist.
As early as five years old his entire family knew that there was something unique and special about him. He could light up any room with his charm, set the tone and stand out in any crowd. He was known to have amazing talent and could effortlessly master anything that he attempted. Being the easy going yet determined, cool, and collective individual, he has known to become; Scooby Loo was a born star.
He was contacted by his cousin Supa Dragg and was asked to join him in pursuing his career in music. By teaming up with his cousin they were able to drop their first music release a project titled "Emotion". Scooby Loo along with his cousin has been interviewed by Jack Thriller with “This is 50” online media outlet.
His music is a showcase of three genres known around the world, hip-hop, rhythm & blues, and from his Jamaican roots “Dancehall music”. He currently has a song in rotation on New York’s Hot 97 radio station. In 2018, he was blessed with the ability to perform on a stage at the South by Southwest. Now Scooby Loo continues to thrive with his debut solo album “Des-Tune-e
